EFDA Exam Requirement in 2008

EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) students and practioners should note that the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry has approved the final form and dates for the EFDA examination, and Harcum College will offer a series of review courses to prepare and retrain EFDA's for the new test. The test will be offered between February 14, 2008 and May 13, 2008 for all current temporary EFDA permit holders. On May 14, 2008 all untested permit holders are barred from practice until they pass the test.

Harcum College will offer an EFDA Examination Review Course for all current permit holders beginning January 8, 2008. The cost will be $300 for the online review course and $600 for the on-site course. The course will be repeated several times. Current students will take the test upon successful completion of course requirements after May 13.
