Minimum Standards for Admission
Students who have been out of high school for more than three years and have not taken the SAT may be asked to take Harcum's Accuplacer before an admissions decision is made. Accuplacer is a placement measure that most Harcum students complete at some point, sometimes before admission to the College. It covers math, reading, and English, and helps the College make decisions regarding the proper class level for admitted students, and applicants' ability to benefit from specific programs.
Many majors at Harcum specify additional standards and pre-requisite classes needed for admission to the particular program, as well as the grades with which students should have completed those classes. Please refer to the descriptions of individual programs in this catalog for more information.
