The Office of Career Services offers assistance and resources to help students and alumnae make career decisions and implement job searches. The office is located in Klein Hall, Room 202; the Career Library is located in Klein Hall, room 207.
Individual Appointments
Counselors can help students assess their interests and skills, determine career choices, and prepare for a job search. Counselors provide resume critiques and mock interviews as well as advice during any stage of the job search. To ask questions or schedule an appointment please call (610) 526-6032.
Workshops
Most workshops are requested by instructors. In the classroom, workshops are presented on topics including career exploration, resume and cover letter writing, and interview preparation.
Career Library
The Career Library contains a wealth of information. The book and software collection includes occupational directories and information on career development, self-assessment, specific career fields, the job search, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and the transition to a new job. Many of the books are available to be signed out for personal use. There are several handouts on related career development topics which students can access. Employer information is also maintained in the Career Library.
Internet Access
From the Career Library, students can use the World Wide Web to learn information about careers, get tips on job hunting, and peruse actual job listings maintained in a file in the Career Library. Students can check there for full-time, part-time, and summer jobs.
