BRYN MAWR, PA (January 24, 2007) – Dr. Edward R. D’Alessio, Acting President of Harcum College (www.harcum.edu), was recently elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. Dr. D’Alessio has served as Provost of the College since August 2003.
Along with five other new Directors and four incumbents, Dr. D’Alessio was inducted during the Chamber’s Annual Meeting Breakfast on January 11 at The Radnor Hotel in St. Davids. “We are honored to have Dr. D’Alessio join us as we work to maintain a flourishing business community, and enhance our marketing presence in the metropolitan area,” said Robert A. Pucci, President & CEO of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. The Main Line Chamber is one of only 20, five-star Accredited chambers of commerce in the nation.
Dr. D’Alessio brings over 30 years of experience in higher education to the Board. He is a former president of Seton Hall University, former president of Elms College in Massachusetts, and served as Assistant U.S. Secretary of Education in the U.S. Department of Education during the Carter Administration. |
