“V-Bears” Win Region XIX Crown

BRYN MAWR, PA (October 5, 2006) – The Harcum College women's volleyball team defeated visiting Lackawanna College tonight - 30 - 15, 30 - 20, 30 - 20 - to win the Region XIX championship.  Harcum competes in Region XIX, Division II of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Tonight's victory was the sixth consecutive win for the Bears, now 8 - 2 on the season, and it was the team's second consecutive shutout.

The team has three more regular season games remaining, including an October 21 "Family Day" home game against Union County Community College, before its hosts the NJCAA Division "L" playoffs on Saturday, November 4.
