*Notice: Anesthesia for Dental Hygienists*
Legislation is pending in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to permit Dental Hygienists to administer local anesthesia to patients. Hygienists will be required to take a special course in anesthesia before they can perform this procedure. The course will comprise 30 hours of training, including clinical practice.
Harcum College will offer this course once law is in effect. Please call our Continuing Studies office to reserve your place to undertake this course. Harcum kindly suggests a Head and Neck Anatomy Review course to those who have been out of practice or school for more than 5 years. Course schedule and tuition will be announced after the law is approved. Call 610-526-6083 to inquire.
