Center for International Programs (CIP) (610) 526-6116 Email: international@harcum.edu
The Center for International Programs (CIP) is designed to foster the cultural adjustment of international students and encourage their academic success. The CIP has two components; the English Language Academy (ELA) that offers non-credit English as a second language courses, and the international student advising component that includes immigration advising, cultural activities, homestays and arrangements for short-term host families.
All students are required to take the English and math placement tests during the first week of the semester. Students who need to refine their English language skills will be referred to the English Language Academy. A combined program of ELA courses and college credit courses is available with permission of the ELA director. International college students on F-1 visas are required to enroll in a full-time program of study of 12-17 credits hours per semester.
