Harcum College prides itself in providing students with many opportunities and options from which to choose. Every Harcum program holds minimum requirements that must be met for acceptance. Should a student not meet the minimum requirements for a particular program, it's certainly not the end of the road.
There are two different types of Admission:
Alternative
An acceptance with alternatives to Harcum College means a student was close to, but did not meet, the minimum academic requirements for their program of interest.
Several programs at Harcum offer options for students to build their academic skills and then transition into their intended program. Please note this may add an additional semester or year to a students study. Some programs also require that a student reapply for admittance into the program.
Meeting with an academic advisor or admissions counselor is strongly recommended to ensure all required steps are taken appropriately.
Regular Admission
Students receiving Regular Admission have met or exceeded the minimum requirements for entrance into the College. Once an acceptance package is issued, students are advised to do the following:
- Schedule a visit to campus
- Complete a FAFSA application (Harcum's School Code is 003272)
- Call the Financial Aid Office to ensure receipt of the FAFSA
- Pay registration deposit of $200 (Pay Online!)
- Pay housing deposit of $200 (if a residence hall room is required)
- Attend a one-day orientation
- Supply all medical records as required by Harcum's Health Services.
- Send an official high school transcript to the Office of Admissions, containing the year of graduation and SAT scores
