Now entering her third season as head coach of the Lady Bears, Sheila DiNardo has established the program as an NJCAA Division II power. DiNardo has compiled an amazing 58-5 overall record in her two seasons on the Main Line, for an incredible winning percentage of .921. Those two seasons include back-to-back NJCAA Region 19 championships, two top 10 national rankings in the final poll, and the 2010-11 squad went on to capture the District I championship and advance the NJCAA Division II National Tournament quarterfinals.
DiNardo's took over the Lady Bears before the 2009-10 season, and instantly revived the program, as Harcum improved from a 12-18 record in 2008-09 to 29-2 in 2009-10. DiNardo coached a pair of 1,000 point scorers and All-Region performers in Ana Cruz and Sironda Chambers, who became the first 1,000 point scorers in Lady Bears history. Cruz was a two-time NJCAA All-American.
Prior to taking the helm at Harcum, DiNardo was a long time high school in Delaware, most recently at Archmere Academy. She also had a successful stint as head coach at Ursuline Academy, where she coached national player of the year Ellena Delladone, won a state championship and was named the state's coach of the year. DiNardo has also served as head coach at Sanford School and her alma mater, Wilmington College.
DiNardo currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, Bill. They have seven children.
Rachael Caron Assistant Coach
Rachael Caron is entering her third year as an assistant coach for the Lady Bears. Last season she helped lead Harcum to a 29 -3 record, including a regional championship.
Rachael played for four years at NCAA DIII Cabrini College. At Cabrini, she helped her team win two-conference championships and go on to two NCAA tournament appearances.
She received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Cabrini College in 2009.
Deana DiAmico
Deana DiAmico begins her second year as a coach at Harcum after an outstanding high school and College career. In high school Deana was a 3 time all-state player in the state of Delaware. Most recently she completed her playing career at Cabrini College. Her career highlights included 1,000 points, 3 time all-conference selection, and 2 time conference championships. She resides in Wilmington Delaware with her black lab, Tink.
