Harcum Defeats Harford to Improve to 2-0
Bel Air, MD (November 11, 2007)--Freshman guard Julius Gray (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area HS) scored 10 of his team-high 20 points in the final three minutes as Harcum College (2-0) held off Harford Community College (2-3), 91-86, in the Harford Tip-Off Classic.
Gray finished the evening 5-for-8 from the field and 7-for-8 from the foul line, knocked down 3 three point shots, and also contributed five rebounds and five assists. The Bears also got another big performance from freshman Andrew Young (Elkins Park, Pa./Cheltenham HS) who finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Greg Avila (Bronx, NY/Port Chester HS) also chipped in with 17 points and six Bears players reached double figures in the scoring column.
Harcum continues its season opening road trip next weekend when they travel to Wilmington, North Carolina for the Cape Fear Challange. Harcum will play Denmark Tech in the first round Friday night.
