Harcum Defeats Morris for 20th Win
Randolph, N.J. (February 2, 2008)--Sophomore guard Brandon Smalls scored 20 of his game-high 28 points in the second half as Harcum College pulled away from a scrappy Morris squad for 83-73 victory in an NJCAA Region 19 game Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the fourth-ranked Bears improve to 20-2 overall and 10-0 in Region 19 play.
Harcum led just 38-34 at the half, then Smalls took over from the outside, connecting on 5 three point field goals during the second half. Freshman guard Micah Covert was the only other Bear to hit double figures with 13 points, Covert's 7th straight game of reaching double figures in the scoring column.
Harcum will be back on the road Tuesday night for a Region 19 game in Carney's Point, New Jersey against Salem Community College. Tip-off is schedule for 7:30 p.m.
