BEARS COMPETE IN EARLY SEASON MEETS

The Harcum College track and field team kicked off the 2009 outdoor season with a meet at West Chester University on March 20th.  Harcum got a strong performance from Allan Dooms, who won the 100 m with a time of 10.9 seconds.  Kipp Choe also had a strong showing for the Bears by placing 7th in the 1500 m.  Valerie Lukas ran a personal best in the women's 1500 m, and Kate Weikel finished second in her heat in the 100 m.

On Saturday, March 28th, Harcum traveled to nearby Widener University for the Danny Curan Invitational.  Allen Dooms again took first place in the 100 m with a time of 10.9 seconds.  Kipp Choe ran a personal best 4:48 in the 1500 m, placing 12th.  Valerie Lukas again bested her own top time in the women's 1500 m.
