AIM Peer Mentors

AIM Peer Mentors orient first year AIM students to the services and activities of the AIM program. They meet weekly with the AIM professional staff to create special events for new students and to develop skills in student outreach. Enthusiastic AIM participants with a satisfactory GPA are encouraged to apply for this position. Call (610) 526-6145 for an application.

Community Service

Community Service opportunities are provided to students throughout the year. There is the ability to volunteer with the many community agencies in the area. Students serve children and adults with special needs by working with various organizations including: day care programs, hearing and visually impaired programs, literacy programs, the Ronald McDonald House, homeless shelters, and many more. Participation is open to allHarcum students. Please call (610) 526-6032.

C.O.R.E

Creating Opportunities for Reaching Excellence (C.O.R.E.) The umbrella organization for campus leaders, C.O.R.E. represents Resident Assistants, Student Ambassadors, AIM Peer Mentors, and orientation leaders. All C.O.R.E. members assist with campus wide programming events, as well as their specific campus departmental responsibilities. Call (610) 526-6028 for more information and an application. You do not have to be an RA, Ambassador, or Peer Mentor to apply.

Resident Advisors

Resident Advisors are full-time resident students who are part of the Residence Life team. RAs provide service, assistance, and information to the residents in their hall units. They also work to enforce College policy and take disciplinary action when necessary.

Student Ambassador

Student Ambassadors are leaders and role models whom possess an enthusiasm and appreciation for Harcum College and its community. Ambassadors also help with daily work operations in the Admissions Office, as well as provide campus tours and help with campus events. The Office of Admissions coordinates these paid work-study positions. Call the Admissions Office at (610) 526-6050.

Student Government

The Student Government Association is the official Harcum College student governmental organization that represents the student body and is designed to enhance the environmental and personal well being of all students. Some of SGA’s abilities include: allocation of student activity fee, program and event planning, and addressing student concerns. Elections for senators are held in the Fall and Spring semesters. All students are welcome to attend weekly meetings. Call (610) 526-6028 for more information.
