Designed for current and future program directors, Harcum is offering the opportunity to earn the Pennsylvania Director Credential. Courses: The program consists of three courses (3 credits each) covering the following topics: Organization and Administration, Professionalism and Leadership, and Business Practices. Is it for you? The program is designed for the Early Child Care professional with a two-year degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Easy to reach: Harcum College is a small private college located in Bryn Mawr, minutes from the SEPTA station. Courses are also offered off-site and online. Fits your schedule: The courses are being offered as a hybrid courses and online courses. For the hybrid courses, the weeks that the student is not meeting face to face will be for online and independent work. The curriculum consists of the following three courses, which you may take in a sequence convenient to you (qualifies as ACT 48 credits and ECE specific credits): SUMMER SEMESTER 2011: EDU 303 Business Practices for Early Childhood Education
FALL SEMESTER 2011:
EDU 301 Organization and Administration of Early Childhood Programs
SPRING SEMESTER 2012:
EDU 302 Professionalism and Leadership
At the completion of the coursework, candidates submit their transcripts to the PA Department of Education to receive the Pennsylvania Director Credential. Transferability: Harcum accepts Director Credential coursework from other qualified institutions. Tuition costs – call ECE Department. The cost may be offset through the Pennsylvania Voucher Program, Keystone Stars Incentive Program or by applying for a TEACH Director’s Credential scholarship
