Overview
The Pre-Nursing/Allied Health Science program is designed to help prepare qualified recent high school graduates for competitive admission to the Nursing Program. Transfer to the Nursing program is not automatic and is contingent upon meeting specific transfer criteria. However, students who meet the specific transfer criteria will have priority seating into the nursing program.
The Pre-Nursing/Allied Health Science program is a one year full-time program of study whereby students complete courses required for admission to the Nursing program.
Prerequisites for Admission
- Minimum High School weighted GPA of 2.5 for recent High School graduates or GED and 900 SAT
- High School Algebra I and II
- High School Biology with Lab
- High School Chemistry with Lab
- 3 units of High School Social Sciences
- 4 units of High School English
- Accuplacer Testing—Testing into Math 100 and English 101

- Official High School Transcripts or GED Documentation
- SAT or ACT scores
- TOEFL and TSE (if applicable)
- Two letters of recommendation on Professional Letterhead
- Resume
- Original Child Abuse Clearance
- Original Criminal Clearance Record
