Accommodation Statement
Harcum College encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you are person with a disability that requires assistance at commencement, please notify the Office of Disability Services (Dr. Richard Cooper, 610-526-6036 or rcooper@harcum.edu) to make arrangements for the commencement ceremony at least four weeks prior to the ceremony.

Commencement Ceremony

The commencement ceremony will start promptly at 11:00 am and will be held on The Great Lawn of the Academic Center at Harcum College.

Commencement Etiquette
While Commencement is a celebration of our students' accomplishments; it is also a formal academic event to be conducted with dignity and decorum. Guests are asked to remain in their seats for the duration of the ceremony and to refrain from blocking aisles and passageways, including the area directly in front of the stage, by attempting to greet or take photos of individual graduates.

Professional photos will be taken of each graduate as they ascend the stage to be congratulated by the College president, and may be purchased through the photographer after the ceremony. In support of our graduates, we also ask that you refrain from departing the ceremony early, especially after your own graduate has been recognized and there are others waiting to be recognized. Cell phones and related electronic equipment should be turned off during the ceremony

Sign Language Interpreters
Sign language interpreters (using American Sign Language) will be available for commencement by request only. Guests who are deaf or hard of hearing and need priority seating must make arrangements for reserved seating. To request a sign language interpreter please contact Dr. Richard Cooper, Coordinator of Disabilities Services at rcooper@harcum.edu or 610-526-6036. Please make sure all request at least four weeks prior to the ceremony.

Tickets & Guest Seating
The facilities will be opened 60 minutes before the ceremony begins. Each graduate will receive 4 tickets for guests. All guests must have tickets to be admitted into the ceremony (even children, regardless of age). There will be no exceptions.

PLEASE NO BALLOONS.

NO ADMITTANCE WITHOUT TICKET - ALL CHILDREN REQUIRE TICKETS (REGARDLESS OF AGE) - NO TICKET - NO ENTRANCE - NO EXCEPTIONS
