Day-Long Nursing Expo
Harcum College is offering a one-day professional development expo for nurses at their Bryn Mawr campus on Saturday, October 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day-long event offers 6 continuing education units (CEU’s).
The 2nd Annual Nursing Expo features morning and afternoon sessions given by healthcare experts who are also Harcum College faculty members: “An Overview of Pressure Ulcers” will be presented by Roxanne Frain, certified registered nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in gerontology. Her program will include information on diagnosing and documenting pressure ulcers as well as their treatment and preventions.
The afternoon session is entitled “Street Smarts for Patient Charts—What Your Patients Don’t Know …and What They Don’t Want You to Know…About Their Substance Abuse.” It will be presented by Thomas Viola, a registered pharmacist with wide-ranging teaching experience at the college level.
Harcum College is pre-approved by the PA Board of Nursing as a sponsor to provide CE courses. The total cost is $110 for alumni and $120 for non-alumni and includes breakfast and lunch. Preregistration is required by calling 610-526-6083 or visit the Harcum College website at www.harcum.edu/nursingexpo for more information.
