Who are Animal Center Managers?

Animal Center Managers provide managerial support to veterinarians in clinics and hospitals, biological research settings, animal control, humane organizations, zoos and educational facilities. Management duties include both the facility and its personnel.

What is the Average Salary for an Animal Center Manager?

New graduates can expect to earn from $15,000 to $25,000 a year in a full-time position. The median income for an Animal Center Manager is $20,000.

What are the educational requirements?

Animal Center Managers must complete a 2-year educational program, and 250 hours of practical experience where candidates receive an associate's degree upon graduation.

Acceptance into the Animal Center Management program is dependent upon the following entrance requirements:

  • Completed Harcum College application
  • Official high school transcript
  • SAT scores (required for students under age 24 only)
  • Official college transcript(s), if applicable
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Personal essay
  • TOEFL scores are required for students for whom English is a second language
  • An interview is recommended
