EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Degree: A.A. As a graduate of the Early Childhood degree program, you will be a quality professional who will make a difference in the lives of young children in your community by displaying and understanding the importance of professionalism, lifelong learning, building community, developmentally appropriate practice, and culturally responsive awareness. This program starts three times a year. You can elect to study as a full-time day and accelerated or part-time day/evening.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN You may select one of two paths as an Early Childhood Education major at Harcum: Entering the field of childcare as an assistant teacher or assistant group supervisor or preparing for a career in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and/or Special Education by transferring to a four-year institution. You will complete several supervised field experiences at facilities that provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool/preK aged children.
