DENTAL HYGIENE Degree: A.S. As a student in our Dental Hygiene degree program, you will receive a comprehensive education to give you the knowledge and skill to perform as a competent dental hygiene practitioner. WHY STUDY THIS PROGRAM? Your clinical experience will span three semesters, including a summer session and at several facilities besides Harcum on-campus Cohen Dental Center, including St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Philadelphia VA Hospital, Community Volunteers in Medicine, and the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University.Upon completion of the program, you are eligible to sit for licensing board exams. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN The program prepares you to become an ethical, self-directed, problem-solving dental health care professional who can function within the changing healthcare system of the future. You will learn to provide a variety of patient care services in a variety of settings. You will study various educational principles and be exposed to a variety of on-site clinical and community-based experiences.

This move will allow incoming, potential students to forgo the requirement for SAT or ACT exams. Instead, acceptance will be based on information provided through other required documents, such as high school transcripts, GPA, essays, and/or our own assessment exam. Your Admissions Counselor will be in contact with you for your next steps. However, if you have already taken the SAT/ACT exam, you should submit your score report. The Priority Deadline is February 15 each year.
