SPORTS MANAGEMENT Degree: A.S. As a graduate of the Sports Management degree program, you will be prepared to pursue careers at all levels of sports management, from local recreational facilities to professional organizations. WHY STUDY THIS PROGRAM? Your studies can lead you enter one of three sports industry segments: spectator, participant, and consumer.You will be prepared to enter the workforce in an entry-level position and/or continue your education through articulation agreements with local four-year institutions. Our curriculum can five you the foundation needed to prepare for the national certification exam administered by the Sports Management Institute. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN You will receive a broad-based understanding of management, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, and the legal aspects of business as it relates to the sports industry. Specific coursework in Sports Management will provide you with knowledge of the role of sports in society and the role of management in sports.
